A Utopian Move For Science: Tourism Spaceships

Both the BBC and CNN have reported on a recent development in the space and rocket world of science. Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO and founder, has recently tested a new functionality of a rocket design in progress for an eventual tourism rocket, which will be designed to take people far enough into space to experience microgravity. The rocket company owned by Bezos is developing technology to help humans return to the Moon as soon as 2024.

This week's tests showed that the rocket is able to land vertically on the ground safely after being in space. The ship will use (and successfuly used in the test) sensor systems to perfect landings and make them as safe as possible, avoiding possible mishaps. The rocket venture founded by Bezos is called Blue Origin.

Blue Origin eventually wants to take paying passengers into space, but has not yet released a start date or a ticket price.
