Troubles For Sports Continue Amidst COVID

Both Fox News and ESPN are reporting on the latest round of COVID-19 tests, that have once again brought chaos to organized sports leagues, especially football and the NFL. Several NFL players tested positive in the latest round of testing, but games have continued. One team, in Tennessee, saw an outbreak that hit over 20 of its members. As a result, some games have been postponed, but overall the league is continuing with the season.

Contact tracing has already begun, ESPN writes, as all players for the Tennessee Titans have been wearing proximity contact devices that show when certain players have been in close contact to other players or faculty wearing the device.

Covid hasn't just affected football in the big leagues, however. As the pandemic progresses, colleges have pulled out college football at the national level. As a result of revenue from football dropping, many colleges, including Standford, have had to cut funding for dozens of teams, including men's volleyball and more. Parents and students alike are outraged.
